Warm, humid weather is ideal for bacteria, yeast and fungus. That is why skin problems are among the most common reasons pets visit us in Navi Mumbai.

Common problems

  • Hot spots: red, moist, painful patches that spread fast

  • Fungal and yeast infections, often between toes and in skin folds

  • Ear infections, especially in dogs with floppy ears

  • Flea and tick allergies

Prevention tips

  • Brush your pet regularly to remove dead hair and let the skin breathe

  • Dry your pet completely after baths and walks, including ears and paws

  • Bathe only as often as your vet advises, with a pet shampoo

  • Keep flea and tick prevention up to date

  • Do not shave double-coated breeds to the skin, as the coat protects against sun and heat

When to see a vet

Visit us if your pet scratches constantly, has hair loss, a bad smell, red skin or shakes its head often. Skin problems are easier to treat when caught early.
