  1. Myth. A dog's nose can be warm or dry for many harmless reasons. Look at appetite, energy and behaviour instead.

  2. Myth. Cats are often badly injured in falls from apartments. Use window and balcony netting.

  3. Myth. Garlic is toxic to dogs and cats. Use a vet-recommended flea preventive.

  4. Fact. Diseases can come indoors on shoes and clothes, and rabies vaccination is important for every pet.
